Founded in 1972 by the Roy Upshaw family in Fort Worth, Texas, Taco Casa was created with one simple but powerful mission: to serve bold, fresh Tex-Mex food that hardworking families could afford and trust. No gimmicks. No frozen shortcuts. Just honest food made the right way, served with a genuine smile.
More than 50 years later, that mission has never changed. And neither has the food.
Today, Taco Casa proudly serves communities across Wichita Falls TX, Vernon TX, Ardmore OK, and Duncan OK with the same recipes, the same standards, and the same heart that started it all in 1972.

Our Story
It started with a family and a dream. The Roy Upshaw family believed that great Tex-Mex food didn’t have to be complicated or expensive — it just had to be real. Fresh ground beef seasoned to perfection. Crispy taco shells with that satisfying crunch. Refried beans topped with real melted cheddar. And the legendary Taco Casa hot sauce that people drive across town for.
Word spread fast — not through big advertising campaigns, but through something far more powerful: happy customers telling their friends and families. One taco at a time, Taco Casa built a loyal following that has lasted generations.
From a single location in Fort Worth to multiple restaurants across Texas and Oklahoma, every step of growth has been driven by the same values the Upshaw family instilled from day one — quality, consistency, and community.
